Suppose you could take an egg (Which CAN be borrowed- though where the heck are you going to borrow an egg.) and a coin (which can be borrowed and more likely.) and have both of them marked by a spectator.

You then cause the coin to magically penetrate INSIDE the egg.

A small hole is chipped in the egg, big enough to pour out some of the egg goo, but small enough that a coin, which will be found INSIDE the egg, cannot escape.  Spectator can look inside the hole and verify they see the coin AND their mark.  Spectator can reach through the hole and grab the coin with tongs or tweezers and pull it out THROUGH the shell themselves AND can immediately verify that it IS the same coin they marked earlier.

No tricky sleights.  Yes, there is a gimmick which you will have to create, but this takes less than 10 minutes once you have the knack, and many can be made at once and saved. You receive a manuscript giving you two versions of this effect, one totally impromptu, and another which thoroughly explains the gimmick.

All this is a nice 45 page booklet, complete with over 50 illustrational photo's.

"I tried this out this morning at my local store. I have been doing magic for a little over 15 years now, and tend to pick things up quickly. If you are just starting out, please spend some time on this effect before you venture out into this cruel world of ours.

I walked into the store and said good morning. The clerk said good morning. I walked to the back of the store and came to the counter with a dozen eggs. The owner said that I must love to eat eggs because I was in the night before and got a dozen. I said to him that I had to throw them out because my wife had found something inside one of the eggs. He had a really puzzled look on his face. He said"you mean your wife found something in the carton the eggs came in" I said no, inside one of the eggs. I casually said I will also take a scratch ticket. The bait was set, and he took it. He asked what did she find? I said a coin. He said a coin, that's impossible!! I said not really, I explained that if a person really tried hard that a coin could pass through an egg, and not break the shell. He laughed and said no way. By this time there were approximately 7 people in the store, and they were also telling me that it was impossible. I asked the clerk if he would pick out an egg and I would prove once and for all that it could be done.

The clerk smiled and then proceeded to walk to the back of the store, and came back with an egg from a different carton. I must let you all in on a little secret. I always show the clerk new effects and entertain him and his wife when I go in and get groceries, so he knew something was up, but the others in the store had no idea what was about to happen. All they knew, was I was telling the clerk that I could make a coin pass through an egg with out breaking the shell. And further more the egg was from an entirely different carton from the back of the store. He comes back with the egg, and hands it to me. I put it up to my ear and slightly shake it. I say that nothing is in there,some people laugh.

I ask if anyone has a quarter. A lady hands me one, and I ask her to sign it. I retrieve my sharpie, and she signs the coin. I also have her sign the egg, so no one thinks that I am using a different egg( I am so far ahead it hurts) I proceed to do the coin penetration through the egg, and the looks on these peoples faces were of pure amazement. I never knew that an effect like this would be so emotional for spectators. I mean I had to pause after the penetration, to allow the shock to set in, and let them get passed it for the reveal. I showed the egg to everyone quite fairly, and showed my palms. People were shaking there heads in dis belief. I asked the clerk for his empty coffee cup. I asked another spectator to puncture the egg gently with the tip of a pen until there was a small hole. I pulled out a set of tweezers and handed them to the spectator, and ask him to remove the shell until he could see something inside. He started to do as I asked, then stopped. He looked up at me and said "NO ******* WAY"

He handed me the tweezers and stepped back. I showed the remaining spectators the coin in the egg, before I removed the coin from INSIDE THE EGG. I handed out the coin, and the first spectator verified the signed coin. I then picked up the remainder of the shell and asked if anyone want the shell. Some people started to clap, others laughed and others asked what else can you do. The clerk smiled and completed my transaction.

I really like an effect that goes over well the first time. To me the handling is not only easy, but practical, and the price for the effect is great. To my knowledge,this gimmick construction is new, and well worth the money spent. I highly recommend this effect."
