And in our words:
I think that this book, is going to become one of those books which sets a standard within the magic world for years to come. We were very proud and delighted when Walt approached us about this project, since we were very familiar with him through his other writings, performances and contributions to our own Devil Of A Bar And Pub. But, when we finally had a chance to read this book, we were even more pleased as it really is one of the most inspirational books about the ART of performing ART and making the stories come to life and help create the MAGIC for your audience and frankly, it made ME feel magical again!

This is what Jeff McBride had to say about this delightful book:
"Walt weaves many colorful stories into a magical carpet ride of adventure! This impressive book is rich in mythic images that will inspire you to think and feel deeply about our ancient art." Jeff McBride, McBride's Magic and Mystery School
Here are what some OTHERS had to say in various forums:
This is the kind of magic book that only comes out once in a decade. A complete treatise on the art of. A pleasure to read with nothing held back! A must own. Mike Ianneo
What you will find within Walt Anthony’s “Tales of Enchantment” is quite possibly the closest thing to a real grimoire of magic that I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Walt’s attention to detail, his research and classical attitude towards magic are evident throughout the book, as is his excellent advice. Jeb Sherrill
Walt leads you to a wealth of ideas to create your own unique "Tale Of Enchantment"! Isn't that what we try to do as magicians? Aren't we all "Enchanters" in some way? A true "tool of tools" for the creative magician, who needs an idea of HOW to build that unique story. This book far exceeds my expectations! Walt has the ability to show you how to take an ordinary trick, and make an extraordinary effect out of it!
This book is exactly what you need, if you are looking to really change the way you do magic! Walt will teach you how do prepare and discipline yourself, to be creative and original! There are over 35 original routines here to inspire you to create your own "tales of enchantment"! This is like being in Walt's private classroom, and learning directly from a master of showmanship, how to build a magic trick into a super showpiece! I recommend this book strongly!! Doug (Dougini)
Tales of Enchantment is a scholarly work whose ideas are obviously gleaned from vast personal experience. Walt’s expertise is such, that his theory and experience are applicable to anyone who has something to say with their magic. It would be great if this book became a classic work that was required reading for all students of our craft. Steve Spill (Magicopolis)
His ability to impart knowledge is quickly seen, while the level of his love of magic and storytelling is something we should all aspire to. Plus, he's just an all-around, nice guy.Scott Grossberg (Thinking Magically)
5 stars out of 5.. buy this and you won't regret it.. This book is a near GODSEND to anyone that wants to being REAL meaning behind their magic. I'm not saying that every magician needs to follow or use Walt's routines (though they are super duper).. I'm saying that once you read this book, you'll never think the same way about routining your magic ever again.
His thought processes are so refreshing that even your average magician can take a birthday party magic trick and add Walt's thought process to it and make a normal magic effect and make it a show stopping spectacle that MEANS something.... to both the adults and children alike. Also, it shows that the MAGICIAN can feel the wonder behind his magic. You're not just doing tricks, you're MAKING or ALLOWING the magic to happen through you, through your audience. Michael Mosher (Wack-O-Magic)
I have had the book for a few weeks now, and it is definitely worth getting! Honestly, this could easily become the next "foundation" book, joining the ranks of Strong Magic and others. If you want some new ways to see your magic, this is a "must-read". Highly Recommended.
So far, I have come up with new presentations for five different effects, based on ideas from this book, and NONE of them have anything to do with the effects for which Walt uses them. That shows the flexibility of the presentations in this book. Clinton Magus
Character, set and setting are covered. Walt does this type of magic as a full time professional for corporate clients and he shares his experience. Walt wants us to enter a world where magic is real, to respect that world and make it real. Then to bring our audience into that world, let them experience it and guide them back to their regularly scheduled lives, richer for the experience. This is the book I wanted and looked for I first returned to magic. So if why haven't you bought the book yet? Do it now! Get it now! Courtney Kolb (Seadog)
“I am SO enjoying this book! Walt's ability to transform a classic effect into a completely new mystic enchantment is simply wonderful. There are oceans of inspiration and imagination contained within these pages. Thank you! “What is most unusual to me about this book is that it manages to be equally inspiring and practical. Erica (Mysterium)
I received your book about a week ago and have enjoyed it so much since I started reading it. I agree that this is a significant piece of literature in the history of magic literature. I can't stress enough how much I am enjoying this book and most importantly, being inspired by it. Well done. Thanks again! The Fritz
Tales of Enchantment is an exquisite reminder that the magic is not in the effect, but in the mind of our audience. Walt takes you through his process: weaving an entrancing story around a simple but lethally deceptive effect, and growing it into a powerful piece of magical theater.
The book helped me look in the mirror - to ask the most important questions: How are they perceiving me? Who am I? What are the stories I'm telling, both with and without words? Keith Boudy
Ever wonder what people are saying about you? Walt Anthony's book, Tales of Enchantment, will have you questioning no longer. ANY magician, young and old, amateur or professional, illusionist or close-up, will all profit from the pages of this book. Walt Anthony helps you to look at your magic with fresh eyes. I was convinced that my magic was top grade. After reading his book I realized I had my blinders on. His book helped me to really breakdown my show. Not act for act, but word for word. David Miller (Paradox Magic)
I am still savoring it. It's not the typical magic book. I have found what I have been looking for. I pulled out my copy of Hauntiques, Vo Du Ma Gick and now I study the trilogy. A chapter a night and let my mind wander to places I have never been.
If your ready, this is a book you should have. Chris Handa (Castle Blood)
Walt I want to thank you for saying in print what was in my head for many years. The book is almost like a beginners magic book for advanced magicians who what to take things further. As I read I found myself saying YES, RIGHT AND THAT'S IT. I think to know you would be an enhancing and worthwhile endeavor to say the least.
Thanks again. J. D. Magic
I truly treasure "Tales of Enchantment". It is a book I will often return to. Walt's love of Magic and fine storytelling is refreshing and invigorating. The book inspires me and excites me about Magic once again. Eddie Garland (Dark Arts Media)
It was the first time in a long time that I've read a magic tome from cover to cover over night. It is a treasure trove of magic, ideas and full presentations. Extremely well written. Great tips and insight to assist in finding both direction and persona. A most delightful and enlightening read. Kotah (Ron Dayton)
Originally, we released both a general softcover edition, and a limited edition numbered signed hardcover. The Limited edition sold out very quickly, and although we will NOT release another signed version of the book, so many people have found value in this text book- and asked to have it in a more durable form, that we are re-printing the book in hardcover.
Now, to insure that we maintain the integrity and value of the collector's edition, and avoid confusion, we have reprinted this with a different color cover so it is easily distinguished from the limited edition signed collector's edition.
